Company Background

TAS Online (Pty) Ltd., a pump specialist company, was formed in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2000. The company is totally focused on helping its clients improve the efficiency and reliability of their pumping systems in order to reduce both electricity and maintenance costs whilst improving plant production.

Over the last ten years the company has gained considerable experience testing and assessing pumping systems at small and leading mining, water utility, and industrial sites throughout South Africa. TAS Online is 33% black owned.

TAS Online’s expertise is been recognised by various organisations to whom we are accredited, these include; United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), The National Business Initiative (NBI) Private Sector Energy Efficiency program and The National Clean Production Centre (NCPC) Industrial Energy Efficiency scheme.

Staff & Organisation

Managing Director, Harry Rosen (B Sc Mech Eng, Pr Eng), whose expertise has been developed over 25 years in the pump industry. Harry is past Chairman of the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering, Central Branch, which includes the industrial heartland of South Africa.

In 2012 he was appointed an International Expert in the Pumping Systems Optimisation component of the Industrial Energy Efficiency project currently being run by UNIDO in South Africa and in other developing economies Worldwide.

Greg Adcock (B Sc Mech Eng) (Engineering Director) has 20 years experience in process and pumping system optimisation. Greg has developed and implemented TAS Online’s pumping system assessment model on dozens of sites and in varying applications. In addition, he leads the TAS Online consultancy team comprising of graduate mechanical engineers, technicians and project managers.
